Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas
Having decided we didn’t really fancy driving back up the coast of Spain, we re-routed by looking at the green bits of the map! This took us to Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas. A nice, short name. We stayed in a free aire just above Cazorla, the village in this photo:
Strange as it may sound, we decided to eat our lunch in a supermarket car park! But with views like this, can you blame us?
We drove to the highest point of the Natural Park on the most van-friendly mountain pass we’ve done so far.
We’re not sure whether it was the lakes, the mountains, the pine trees or the fact that it was overcast, but the area reminded us a lot of Scotland.
The next day was sunny, hot and less Scotland-esque! We went for a walk and enjoyed a swim in the lake.
