Climbing in northern Spain
We set off early to avoid climbing in the midday sun and were treated to some fantastic views on the journey.
After a few mountain roads, we were back above the clouds and ready to climb.
The crag was just outside of Següencu and involved quite a walk, but it was beautiful and well worth it. If you're thinking of climbing here, the topos are in the Roca Verde book which is in Spanish and English.
Our next climbing trip was meant to be by Entrago but unfortunately I was ill and didn't recover in time to climb safely. But we did have a lovely time in the free camping aire there! The toilet and shower block is run by the local climbing club and there was a fantastic atmosphere with almost every vehicle being a campervan belonging to a climber. We had a great view too.
In the car park there was a bike hire company. We cycled 28k down the Senda del Oso (Path of the Bear) then were picked up at the end to be taken back uphill - that's my kind of cycle ride!
